Cleaning Fixed Retainers
- Brushing your teeth - make sure you are correctly brushing your teeth. Your toothbrush should be angled as you brush. Brushing above, below, and in between brackets is important to remove all plaque. Consult your orthodontist to make sure you are brushing correctly because with our adult orthodontic treatment we strive for preventative care.
- Flossing - flossing with fixed retainers can be difficult and requires patience. However, depending on the placement of your retainers and with the right tools like floss threaders or a water flosser, flossing doesn't have to be a challenge.
